GINA RODRIGUEZ: Dragged for Using Racial Slur on Instagram

Gina Rodriguez is a trending topic for the wrong reasons today (Tuesday).
The actress, who starred in Jane the Virgin, is getting dragged for an insensitive video posted to Instagram Stories, where she raps along to lyrics that include the N-word. In the short clip, she’s in a chair getting her hair and makeup done as she sings some lyrics from The Fugees‘ song “Ready or Not.” The part that got her in trouble is when she says, “[N-words] give me heebie jeebies” while looking at the camera, before laughing at herself.
She later offered an apology that some felt was half-hearted, when she said she was sorry for singing along to a song that she loves.
