*AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS*: Post Malone, Ariana Grande Lead the Pack
Written by KingCnote on October 25, 2019
Post Malone stands to get a lot of love at the American Music Awards, since he leads the pack with seven nominations — including Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock.
He’s followed closely by Ariana Grande with six nods. She’ll compete with Post for Artist of the Year, and take a shot at Favorite Female Artist — Pop/Rock and Album of the Year, for Thank U, Next.
Newcomers Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X — both of whom are nominated for New Artist of the Year — tied Taylor Swift with five noms. By the way, if Tay wins two trophies, she’ll break Michael Jackson‘s mark for most AMA wins, which stands at 23.
BTS Army members will no doubt be stuffing the ballot box for the K-Pop kings, who are up for three trophies — Tour of the Year, Social Artist of the Year and Top Duo or Group — Pop/Rock.
Lady Gaga‘s Little Monsters will have two shots to honor her — in the Favorite Soundtrack category (for A Star Is Born) and for her Bradley Cooper duet on “Shallow,” nominated for Best Collaboration.
A full list of nominees is available at TheAMAs.com. Voting is open through midnight on November 20th, and the ceremony will air live on ABC on November 24th.
