This past Sunday, the 2015 Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angeles. The masterminds of televised art all came together to award those of excellence performance within the last year. From motion pictures to TV series, musicals to drama, production to original scores, each category listed those that stood out and touched the inner being of all that spectated. For it was a glorious day for recording artists Common and John Legend, winners of the category Best Original Score in a Motion Picture. They both accepted the award proudly looking back on human inequality and justice driven humanitarians. The opportunity to contribute to such a film and the cause in which it stood seemed rewarding for both. I expected the film Selma in itself to reap much than it did despite the fact of this years lineup of contenders.
